A Cybersixgill survey revealed that at least 90% of 150 chief information security officers from large enterprises depended on outdated report-based threat intelligence, while 77% regarded incident response and response bottleneck efficiency-related metrics as key performance indicators, according to SiliconANGLE.
Fifty-nine percent of CISOs agreed that boards of directors are primarily concerned about risk quantification and balancing against costs, according to the survey. Meanwhile, CISOs' most common problems included regulatory compliance, professional knowledge gaps and hackers. CISOs also cited threat intelligence processing, vulnerability management and COVID-19 pandemic-related issues as the biggest knowledge gaps. However, 97% said they are anticipating growth in their cybersecurity teams, suggesting increasing cybersecurity awareness and funding.
