Hardware-assisted security solutions have been included in organizations' cybersecurity protocols for 36% of IT security professionals, 47% of whom reported that their organizations will be implementing such solutions within the next six to 12 months, according to an Intel and Ponemon Institute report.
The report also revealed that 85% of those whose companies have already been leveraging hardware-assisted security solutions noted that their organizations have regarded hardware or firmware-based security as a high or very high priority. Moreover, 64% noted the importance of hardware and software-assisted security offerings, with the same percentage of respondents noting the increased odds of technology and service purchases from providers and vendors that have been leading on innovation, the report showed.
