Kathy Wang

Kathy Wang is Chief Information Security Officer at Very Good Security. Kathy has over 20 years of experience as a security practitioner, and prior to VGS, she led the Security team at GitLab. In addition to her role as an advisor and investor for various data security firms and early stage companies, Kathy is also an internationally-recognized malware expert, who has researched, developed, evaluated, and operationalized various solutions for detecting and preventing client-side attacks used by advanced persistent threats (APT). She has spoken internationally at many conferences and on many panels, including RSA, DEFCON, AusCERT, and REcon.
