Adobe on Tuesday released security updates for Flash Player, AIR, Acrobat and Reader that address numerous bugs, some of which are considered critical because they could possibly enable an attacker to take control of a vulnerable system.
According to a security bulletin, the Flash Player and AIR updates address 13 vulnerabilities and are being released across all platforms, including Windows, Macintosh and Linux. Some of the bugs can allow code execution and one can lead to information disclosure.
In a second security bulletin, Adobe announced that the Acrobat and Reader updates are for Windows and Macintosh and address 56 bugs. Several of the vulnerabilities involve various methods to bypass restrictions on JavaScript API execution, and others can lead to information disclosure and code execution.
