Dell rolls out cloud data protecton, recovery solutions

Dell Technologies announced that it is strengthening its multi-cloud security offerings by introducing the new PowerProtect Cyber Recovery for Microsoft Azure, which will be available on the Azure Marketplace, according to ZDNet. According to the company, the new offering will enable the creation of a secure vault in the public cloud, allowing organizations to ensure business continuity through recovery of their data back to their primary data center, a clean Azure environment or an Azure private network. The company also unveiled an enhancement to its Apex-as-a-service portfolio that will introduce cyberattack recovery solutions through its new Apex Cyber Recovery offering. "With Apex Cyber Recovery, customers can feel confident in the ability to recover from a destructive cyber attack and achieve more agility by offloading the day-to-day management of data protection. Customers get more resiliency from an isolated, immutable, and intelligent data vault," according to Dell Apex Product Management Vice President Chad Dunn. The two products are scheduled to become generally available around the world in the second quarter.
