Man found guilty of operating revenge porn site, faces up to 20 years in prison

A San Diego man has been convicted of operating a revenge porn website.

Kevin Bollaert faces up to 20 years in prison after he was found guilty on Monday of 27 counts, including identity theft and extortion, the AP reported on Tuesday. The judge declared a mistrial on two charges of identity theft and conspiracy because the San Diego County Superior Court jury was unable to reach verdicts.

People were allowed to anonymously post explicit images to the ugotposted[dot]com website from Dec. 2, 2012, to Sept. 17, 2013, the report indicates, adding names, cities of residence, social media profiles and other information was included.

The report adds that Bollaert also ran changemyreputation[dot]com, a site where victims could pay up to $350 to have their pictures and information removed.

Bollaert made tens of thousands of dollars, according to the report.
