»netForensics, provider of security information management (SIM), has named Dale Cline to CEO. Cline has served as president since joining the company in 2004. He formerly served as president of Knowledge Products. Former CEO Dennis Cline will take over as executive chairman and will remain on the Board of Directors.

»Eight data security vendors have formed The Payment Card Industry Security Vendor Alliance to assist members of the payment card industry in compliance with PCI standards. »Symantec has signed a multi-year contract extension with Hewlett-Packard. HP consumer PCs will contain a 60-day version of Norton Internet Security, a security suite aimed at stopping spyware, viruses, worms and hackers.
