Apple issues supplemental security updates

Apple has released updates for four of its operating systems including iOS and tvOS.

The patch for iOS 12.4.1 iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air and later, and iPod touch 6th generation and fixes a vulnerability, CVE-2019-8605, where a malicious application may be able to execute arbitrary code with system privileges.

The update for macOS Mojave 10.14.6 fixes a use after free issue, CVE-2019-8605, where a malicious application may be able to execute arbitrary code with system privileges.

The supplemental update for tvOS 12.4.1 used in Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD also patches a use after free problem where malicious application may be able to execute arbitrary code with system privileges.

A patch was also issued for watchOS 5.3.1 for Apple Watch Series 1 and later, but no CVE or other details on the vulnerability were posted.
