As cybersecurity from the Biden administration pile, coordination both within government and between public and private sector grows more critical than ever before.
Alaina Clark, assistant director for stakeholder engagement at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) spoke to Jill Aitoro, editor in chief at SC Media and Matt Alderman of Business Security Weekly for a special interview covering CISA's role in supporting compliance with cybersecurity initiatives, the importance of public-private partnerships and what the agency has planned for Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
"The majority of what CISA does is based on voluntary partnerships," including industry, as well as state, local, tribal, and territorial governments, and the international community, said Clark. "They are key to this collaborative defense model, and we need everyone working toward that common goal of protecting our critical infrastructure."
This is part of SC Media's special October coverage, in honor of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, spotlighting “security by design”: How different organizations within various verticals recognize their own security practices not only as a necessity, but also as a differentiator.
