Powell blasts Trump, criticizes Clinton in leaked emails; DNC hacked again

Two new email leaks, both from websites reportedly affiliated with Russian intelligence, have once again drawn focus to the U.S. presidential election.

If one batch of gleaned emails seen by Buzzfeed is accurate, General Colin Powell takes issue with both the Democratic or Republican presidential candidates. In the second case, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) reported another round of stolen documents had been released.

Powell said of Hillary Clinton “[E]verything HRC touches she kind of screws up with hubris,” meanwhile he described Donald Trump as a “National disgrace,” according to Mediaite. The comments were pulled from emails Powell had sent that were hacked and posted on the site DCLeaks.

Links to the new documents allegedly culled from the DNC were posted on WikiLeaks Twitter account and attributed to the hacker Guccifer 2.0, Reuters reported. SCMagazine.com could not access the documents.

““The DNC is the victim of a crime — an illegal cyberattack by Russian state-sponsored agents who seek to harm the Democratic Party and progressive groups in an effort to influence the presidential election,” DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile said in a statement
