CIA’s Brennan warns against Russian cyber intrigue

CIA Director John Brennan warned against Russian hacking skills calling them “exceptionally capable and sophisticated.”

“I think that we have to be very, very wary of what the Russians might be trying to do in terms of collecting information in a cyber realm, as well as what they might want to do with it,” he said on Face the Nation.

Brennan made his comments on CBS' Face the Nation Sunday and these follow a string of stories fingering Russian agencies as the source for several recent hacks, including that of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and a concern by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton that foreign cyber forces may try to manipulate the upcoming presidential election.
