Two more sessions have been pulled from the Black Hat conference lineup by the researchers who were set to present them in Las Vegas this week, according to a report in Reuters.
“Home insecurity: no alarms, false alarms and sigint,” which was to go over how to compromise home security systems from Honeywell International, Vivint and ADT Corp., was set to be led by Logan Lamb from Oakridge National Laboratory.
Additionally, “Dissecting Snake” by Sergei Shevchenko of BAE Systems PLC was yanked because the company is planning to publish a new report on Snake in September, a BAE spokeswoman told Reuters.
The schedule changes come on the heels of the cancellation of another planned session, “You Don't Have to be the NSA to Break Tor: Deanonymizing Users on a Budget,” by Carnegie Mellon University researchers Alexander Volynkin and Michael McCord.
