Fidelis acquires cloud security vendor

Fidelis Cybersecurity announced its acquisition of CloudPassage, a cloud security vendor based in California, for undisclosed terms, as part of its efforts to bolster its extended detection and response solution’s capabilities related to endpoint security, network security and deception technology, according to CRN. CloudPassage’s offering allows cloud users to discover previously undetected assets using a front-end interface as well as detect potential exposure through those assets, which they can then attempt to remediate across platforms including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. CloudPassage can also be integrated into the software development life cycle to ensure continued compliance with regulations for SaaS applications created in the cloud. Fidelis President and CEO Anup Ghosh said the company will spend the following year creating a comprehensive cybersecurity solution that integrates both its and CloudPassage’s offerings. CloudPassage’s technology and related training materials will immediately be made available to Fidelis’ channel partners, Ghosh said.
