Stolen data marketplace Industrial Spy detailed

BleepingComputer reports that the new Industrial Spy stolen data marketplace has also been providing stolen data to members for free. Several data offering tiers have been discovered in the Industrial Spy marketplace, with lower-tier data priced for as low as $2 and premium data sets being sold for millions of dollars. Data from an Indian firm is being sold in Industrial Spy for $1.4 million. Meanwhile, free stolen data packs are also being offered in an attempt to encourage more cybercriminals and threat actors. MalwareHunterTeam first discovered Industrial Spy through malware executables establishing README.txt files for site promotion. Execution of the file would prompt the malware files to trigger text files in all of the device's folders with a service description and Tor site link. "There you can buy or download for free private and compromising data of your competitors. We public schemes, drawings, technologies, political and military secrets, accounting reports and clients databases. All this things were gathered from the largest worldwide companies, conglomerates and concerns with every activity. We gather data using vulnerability in their IT infrastructure," said the text file.
