St. Louis Parking Company says customer card info breached

Customers credit and debit card information was compromised in a data breach at a St. Louis parking lot.

St. Louis Parking Company wrote in its press release that customers who used its public parking lot at Union Station between October 6 and October 31 could be affected.

The affected server was identified and isolated to avoid any further data from being compromised. Datapark, the manufacturer of the revenue controls system, is investigating the incident and following the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

Third-party forensic experts were also hired to help investigate the matter. The breach has been contained.

Multiple parking garages have had customer payment card information stolen in recent months, and one parking facility service provider SP+ said cards used at 17 of its locations were at-risk. St. Louis Parking Company has not responded to a SCMagazine.com request for comment.
