A recommended set of cloud configuration settings was released by Microsoft to Windows 10 users to help IT “standardize and simplify management” of PCs, according to a setup guide written by Ravi Ashok, senior program manager, and Stan White, principal software engineer,
ComputerWorld states. These new set of settings were offered in order to build a standardized unit of PCs that can be managed with the help of available tools and to give IT administrators settings that are ready-made and Microsoft-recommended, which can be used for current and new PCs. Microsoft’s in cloud/cloud config setting is similar to the company’s other ready-to-deploy configuration settings, such as the Edge and its Windows’ security baselines. According to Microsoft, users who “have no dependency on on-premises infrastructure to be productive and successful in their role” are the ideal candidates for the in cloud settings, which must be manually set up by IT administrators.
